We are so excited to finally share with you the photos from our whimsical boudoir shoot!
Ever since they moved in next door to our old studio in Southie, Annika had wanted to do a photo shoot at Neatly Nested Design and Decor. We thought the color scheme and cluttered, dreamy atmosphere of this rustic shop was the perfect environment for a model shoot that we had been dreaming up.
Model shoots are so fun because they allow us to execute our personal vision from start to finish, and collaborate with great people to make it all happen. For this particular shoot, we were inspired by the aesthetic of the music video for "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers. The female lead in the video rocks a sheer robe with a full garter set underneath, with vintage doll-like makeup and hair.
We managed to find the perfect wardrobe to make this happen, including some pieces that our model already owned, studio props, and some clutch finds from Forever 21 and thrift stores. Our rockstar hair and makeup stylist, Kristen Postle, accomplished an intricate makeup look that managed to turn our model into a kind of boudoir manikin.
This shoot will also be shared in January 2016 on a popular boudoir blog. More details on that coming soon ;)
Hope you enjoy!
