5 of The Best Morning Rituals

The way you spend your morning usually sets the tone for your whole day. I find that when I sleep in and end up being a little lazy, the day tends to not go as planned. I’m never as productive as I want to be. I’ve started putting more energy into how my mornings go and they have had a huge effect on my entire day.

Wake Up Early

I love getting an early start on the day. You get to squeeze in a little me time and you don’t have to rush. I like to get up early and take my time drinking my coffee. I can watch the sunrise or in warmer weather I love to sip it outside. It gives me a few minutes to myself and I love having that time.

Warm Water with Lemon

I love drinking warm water with lemon in the morning. Lemon juice is perfect for flushing out toxins and any other unwanted materials from your body. It helps with bloating and aids digestion.

Workout

Working out in the morning gets any unnecessary stress out of my head for the day. It also makes me so productive when I sit down and get to work. I notice that days that I don’t workout, I have a harder time focusing and getting started. If you don’t have time for a whole workout, gentle stretching is great replacement too! It gets your body moving and prepared for the day.

Breakfast

Skipping breakfast is tempting sometimes but they aren’t kidding when they say breakfast is the most important meal. Eating something in the morning will signal to your body that the day has started and it truly will feed your brain and make you more productive. You don’t want to realize that you are starving mid morning.

Setting Intentions

I’m sure I’m not the only one that tends to reach for their phone when they wake up. I’ve been really trying not to the last few weeks and has been so helpful. Instead, I like to set some intentions on how my day is going to be.  I set positive intentions so that the day is going to be positive and productive. Every now and then I like to write them down in a journal too!
