Eating healthy can be one of the hardest routines to get into. As much as I'd love to cook every meal at home, it can get tricky when you are running a business from home! Life can get busy and it can be hard to stick to eating healthy when you are constantly on the run. Here are a few simple tips to help you live a healthier lifestyle!
Don't Drink Your Calories
Sometimes, you don't realize how many calories are in a lot of drinks! From lattes to sodas to even juice, there can be a lot of sugar and calories in them without you even realizing. If you favorite coffee or tea has a lot of calories and you have a few of those a day, it can add a lot of calories into your week that you don't even realize. Try to make healthier switches throughout your day and you may even notice that you drop a few pounds! If you love soda, try switching a few sodas out to a seltzer water of even just plain water. If you love coffee and tea, try drinking it black.
Eat the Rainbow
When you are creating your meals, try to think about eating the rainbow! You want your meals to be colorful! Try using different vegetables of different colors. You will be getting so many different nutrients like vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Also, the more vegetables that you eat, the less hungry you will be throughout the day!
Skip the Processed Foods
If you can cut out processed foods, you will feel so much better! Try just switching your snacks out at first to natural foods. Instead of eating cookies or crackers, try switching to fruit or nuts. Remember to start small! If you try to switch too many things at once you may get overwhelmed
