Finding Clients

Finding Clients

Filling your schedule with sessions is something that all photographers strive for and it can be a bit stressful when times get slow. Wedding season can be so busy but when that slow period rolls around, it may be hard to find clients. Here are a few of my favorite tips to keep your schedule busy all year long!

Word of Mouth

I get a lot of my clients through word of mouth. Whether it was their friend that did a session from me or even a friend of a friend, chances are they will follow their friend's advice when it comes to finding a photographer. Set up a referral program or offer a small incentive and be sure to offer it to your current clients.

Blogging

Blogging is one of the best ways to reach clients that not a lot of photographers think about. When you are creating your blog content, be sure to have your ideal client in mind. Think about what they need help with! Do you get asked a lot of questions during your sessions? Make a blog post about it! It's the perfect way to show off your skills and show off your sessions in a different light.

Social Media

Social media is a great way to reach potential clients. From Facebook groups to your own accounts, there are so many ways you can reach people. It's a great way to expand your reach and share your work. Think about being a real person, not just a salesperson when it comes to posting. Clients want to see you as a real person, not just a business.

Follow Up

Follow up with potential clients that never purchased a session from you. They may have gotten busy and forgot to email you back. Follow up with them and see if they have any questions that you can answer or if they want to move forward with the process.
