When it comes to boudoir, it’s common for a lot of your clients to be new clients. It’s the nature of our work that most clients do a session for a special occasion, and you usually don’t see them again. There are a lot of benefits when it comes to getting clients to come back. They’ve already worked with you, they know the process and you know that they already love your work! But, how do you get them to come back again and again? Here are a few of my favorite tips to get your clients coming back for more.
One thing I love to do every few months is offer a special themed session. It’s usually at a lower price and has a fun and very specific theme to it. It allows your past clients to come back again at a lower price, and have a completely different session from what they had before. They may have a romantic session for their wedding and now they can switch it up completely and just have fun with it.
Even if you offer a complimentary session, you know that they already love your work and your images. Chances are, they will absolutely buy from you again! Think about a special that works best for your brand and your budget and something that you know your clients will love.
Stay in Touch
I cannot recommend enough how important it is to stay in touch with your past clients. Once you send off those gorgeous photos to your client, it is pretty likely they will forget about you. One easy way to stay on top of their mind is to start a newsletter list. Have them sign up when they first get in touch with you so that they won’t miss out any special things happening with the studio. It’s the perfect way to send out those special session deals and let them know if you are having any sales or promotions. Not only is a newsletter a great way to stay in touch with past clients, but it’s a good way to get new clients to book with you too!
Think about what you can offer your clients for referrals. Whether it is a discount on a session, a free session, or even a special product. Let them know that if their friends book with you, you will reward them one way or another! It’s a great incentive to get them to talk about you to their friends and recommend you. Chances are if they are getting engaged, they probably have friends that are in a similar stage in their life.
Getting repeat clients is not very common but it does happen! Most of my clients are new but I love when clients come back again and again. It makes me know that I am doing something that they absolutely love!
