Social Media Content Ideas

Coming up with new content day after day on social media can be hard! Once you run out of your initial ideas, it can be difficult to think of something new and exciting that your following will love. You don’t want to be posting the same thing over and over again. If you are feeling stuck, here are a few of my go to ideas that will help you come up with new content!

Client Images

I love being able to share some of my past sessions with clients (of course, only with their permission!) It’s a great way to show off your shooting and editing style. Being able to see different body types is great way to show your clients that boudoir is for everyone! I also find that when my following knows that they aren’t models and that they are past clients, they are more likely to picture themselves in front of the camera.

Quotes

From motivational quotes to lingerie quotes, quotes can be a great idea! Whether you want to layer them over a client photo or just put the quote in the caption, there are a few different ways that you can utilize quotes. It’s also a great way to break up your feed from client images. If you are feeling stuck on content, this is also a great backup. Just be sure that the quote you are choosing makes sense for your target audience.

Behind The Scenes

I don’t know about you but behind the scenes shots are some of my absolute favorites! I follow a lot of local businesses and photographers and it’s so interesting to see what their day to day lives are really like. Instagram feels like everyone’s highlight reel so it’s nice to see what really happens in their life. I love to be able to show what is going on in my studio and behind the scenes of sessions - it makes it a little bit more real and raw.

Testimonials

Testimonials are a great way to show potential clients how much your past clients loved their session. You may feel like you are tooting your own horn and in a way you are, but you are entitled to! People love to read reviews and hear about other experiences that clients have had so it’s a great way to put reviews out to your following. Of course, you don’t have to post one everyday but scatter them throughout your feed. It’s a great way to break up your content a bit and show potential clients just how awesome you really are!

Your Own Boudoir Shots

I have done a few boudoir sessions in my life and it always surprises my clients to know that I have done them too! I love showing off my images because it shows clients that I’m just like them. I get nervous for my sessions so I love sharing my experiences from in front of the camera. It can be nerve-racking for anyone, even someone who does it for a living!

Videos

Videos are a great way to break up your feed from just photos. If you have a behind the scenes video from a session, maybe break it up into a smaller clip and share it to your feed! Not only are you showing off that you also offer video but it’s a different form of media that your following isn’t used to seeing. It’s a great way to get a little creative.

Product Images

This may seem like a no brainer but a lot of photographers forget to show off their actual products! Clients know that they are doing a boudoir session but most of the time, they have no idea what to choose for products. Show off some of your most popular items and the different ways that clients can create the perfect gift!

Don’t let coming up with content overwhelm you! You are doing so many different things throughout your days, like meetings, editing, and so much more! It may seem boring to you but all of those things are great ideas for content. These are a great place to start. Don’t be afraid to step outside of the box and get creative with your content!
