Kicking the Nerves Before Your Boudoir Session
You did it! You finally bit the bullet and booked your session…. but now what?! Well, it’s only normal that those nerves are going to get kickstarted. Whether your shoot is right around the corner or a few months away, you're going to be nervous regardless. I get it - and don’t worry, it’s completely normal.
I am here to tell you that you have nothing to worry about! From posing to lingerie looks, I am here to help you through the entire process. I don’t ever want the nerves you’re feeling to turn into stress, therefore I’ve put together a few simple tips to help conquer those nerves before your session!
Kicking the Nerves Before Your Boudoir Session
Pre-Shoot Prep
After you book your session, you will fill out my pre-shoot questionnaire. It’s all about answering your questions, going over all of my lingerie tips, and getting into your style and ideas for your shoot. It’s going to get personal but you can ask any questions. I want you to finish filling out the questionnaire with a clearer idea of your vision and some amazing tips on how to get started.
Resources
You will get some awesome resources from me after you book your session. From your Pinterest board full of lingerie ideas customized just for you to the information and prep guides I send your way, there should be plenty of tips and tricks to get you thinking! You will even get a checklist to help you pack up the morning of your session. Trust me, I have thought of EVERYTHING!
Wine Date
If you are feeling nervous in the days leading up to your shoot, book a wine night with your best girlfriend! Someone who helps calm your nerves and you can talk through anything with. It will help you relax a little before your session and take your mind off of it. Plus you can show her all your outfit ideas and talk through everything together…and the wine sure won’t hurt either!
Embrace the Experience
This probably sounds crazy but embrace the nerves! I have worked with hundreds of women and they all walk in the door a bit nervous. Taking off your clothes in front of a stranger is not an everyday experience so it’s expected. But try to embrace the process. You are stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something incredible! Plus, I am a firm believer in pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. The best things happen there!
And best of all, I’m always just an email away. Don’t let the nerves get you down, this is going to be such an amazing experience. Once you see those photos, you are going to be so glad you decided to do this!! Every client tells me how easy the shoot was, how comfortable they were, and how much fun it was. And before you know it, you will be saying the same things!
