To Spray Tan, or Not
Raise your hand if you love a good spray tan.
While I am all for spray tans, they are something I don’t recommend clients to get before their boudoir session. Why? The short of it is spray tans can be tricky. They can get streaky or could come out different than you were expecting, to name a few. If you’ve been considering tanning before your boudoir session, here are some things you should consider first.
Should you get a spray tan before your boudoir session?
Spray tans are something I talk with my clients about a lot. Everyone feels more confident when they are tan and when you’re going to be in front of a camera in lingerie, you’re going to want to feel your best. Typically, I recommend clients to come as they are to their boudoir session! Spray tan doesn’t always lay evenly on the skin making editing harder at times.
If you have experience getting spray tans or have severe tan lines, I say get it! It all just depends on YOU. When editing I always add a glow the skin and even out skin tones as it’s normal for the arms to be darker than the stomach.
Can I Tan Naturally Before My Session?
I don’t recommend it unless you’re loading up on sunscreen and are very vigilant about protecting your skin! Between tan lines and getting a little too much sun, you don’t want to have to worry about dry skin and hiding tan lines.
