When you book your boudoir session, you want to look and feel your best from head to toe. You have your lingerie ready, and your hair and makeup are booked, but what about your nails? While your nail color isn’t going to make or break your boudoir session, well-manicured nails will only elevate your photos and avoid any extra distractions. 

When it comes to nail polish colors and design, I always recommend opting for neutral or dark colors. Stay away from neons or a lot of nail art, as they can be distracting!

French Manicure

Even though a French manicure is nail art, it’s so classic! The neutral tones go with anything and is on the subtle side. You really can’t go wrong!

Soft Pinks

If you’re going to have a soft and dreamy boudoir session filled with neutral light, soft pinks are a great nail polish choice! A few of my favorites are OPI Bubble Bath and OPI Baby Take a Vow.

Reds

Red is a classic nail polish color and with so many different shades from a classic red to a deep sultry red, it’s easy to find the perfect red for your boudoir session. If you are looking for some good options, you can never go wrong with OPI Big Apple Red OPI Got The Blues for Red. 

Natural Nails

If you don’t typically paint your nails or want a more natural look, opt for no polish! If you do this, I do recommend going to get a manicure with clear gel to clean up your nails and cuticles.
