Getting Repeat Clients

Boudoir is my favorite type of photography! It’s also a type of photography that most people only do once in their life - if that! I love working with repeat clients because I already know them and their style. I’ve gone through the process with them and I know what they love and what they don’t. It’s also nice that they already know your prices and how your business works. Here are a few simple tricks to getting repeat clients again and again.



I believe that going the extra mile for my clients is one of the reasons that I get repeat clients. It comes down to the little things and some of the last things that they receive from me. Be sure that their products are wrapped nicely and you send a thank you card. I love getting handwritten notes! Try to make sure that everything your clients get is professional and looks nice. They will remember the little things and the extra effort that you put in.

Stay In Your Lane

Don’t feel like you need to offer family photography, weddings, etc. just to work with these people again! Stay in your lane and keep shooting boudoir. It doesn’t matter how other photographers are getting repeat clients because those are not your clients. Keep learning and growing as a photographer. The better you get at your craft, the more you will notice that clients come back again and again.

Keep In Touch

It’s easy for clients to forget who you are if they never hear from you. Set up a newsletter and make sure you are staying in touch with! You can get creative with it too. Maybe set up emails to be sent out a certain amount of time after their session offering them a special repeat deal or even on their birthday or anniversary. An easy way to stay in touch is through your newsletter. It’s not only a great way to keep that relationship going with past clients but it’s a great way to potentially get new clients.

Social Media

If they are following you on social media and comment on your images, be sure to respond! Don’t feel like you can’t get stay in touch with clients because they’ve already moved on. Social media is all about being social and has helped so many people connect. Don’t feel like you have to go overboard with it but don’t be afraid to reach out every now and then.


A recommendation is one of the best compliments you can get! If you find that a lot of your currents are coming from past clients, think of a great referral program that works for you and your budget. Whether it is sending them a small gift or a discount on their next session, it is a nice gesture to send something! It’s a great incentive for clients to tell their friends about you and send them your way!

These are just a few simple ways to get repeat clients. Think about your business and how you can entice your current clients to come back again and again. Don’t be afraid to get creative with it!
