Growing Your Social Media Following

Social media is what everyone seems to be talking about lately. It’s an awesome way to market and grow your business. It’s an easy way to share your talent with the world and meet some really awesome people along the way. It’s important to have some kind of strategy behind your posting. You don’t want to be constantly winging it and just hoping for the best.

Social media growth can be slow but the more genuine the better. I never recommend hiring bots or buying fake followers. It will hurt you more than it will help you. I’ve put together some easy tips to help your grow your accounts.

Target Audience

Knowing your target audience is so Important! You want to make sure you know exactly who you are talking to. It will help you choose photos and create captions that make sense and that will resonate with your followers. Getting clear on your dream client will make it so much easier when planning out your content. Not only will it help you with creating your posts for social media but it will help you find these people on social platforms. It’s always important to engage with your audience and find people who you will click with your brand.

I touched on engagement a little bit but it is so important when it comes to growing your social media accounts. Growing your brand means so much more than just posting good content. It’s about creating relationships with your followers and being social. Schedule some time in your schedule for dedicated engagement! Whether it is every day, every other day, or maybe just a few times a week, be sure to get that time in!

One thing that a lot of people don’t think about is consistency. Consistency is key! The more consistent you are with everything, the more success you will see. This goes for just about everything! From posting to engaging with your audience to staying true to your brand, consistency will help you create a strong brand presence. You can’t do that if you are not staying consistent with things.

Use hashtags wisely! It’s not a good idea to just use a hashtag because it’s popular. It’s important to be aware of what hashtags are safe to use since boudoir is such an intimate type of photography. You don’t want to use anything that will mark your account as spam so be sure to do your research! Think about your target audience when you are using hashtags. Are they brides and planning a session for their partner? Are they already married? Where do they live? All of these are questions that will help you focus in on what kinds of hashtags will pertain to your audience. Don’t be afraid to get creative with it and venture out a little bit too! There are no wrongs or rights when it comes to creativity. Don’t let the fear of social media mess with your head.

Don’t let your growth get you down! We have all been down that road where you don’t feel like you are growing fast enough. As long as you put the work in, you will see your account start to grow with real followers in no time.
